Stage 4

Stage 4 Science

Stage 4: In years 7 and 8, the study of science is broken into four areas of study: the Physical, Chemical and Living Worlds and Earth and Space. Students will develop a knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts, ideas and principles. Through a variety of practical experiences, and the use of technology, students will learn how to work scientifically. The Australian Curriculum has an emphasis on using scientific inquiry to foster curiosity and learning. This is supported as the students’ experiences are relevant and set in engaging contexts.
