The Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) faculty is an integral part of the development of boys and girls into articulate, confident and most importantly, creative young people. They develop the ability to look at the world from a range of perspectives and frame responses. TAS subjects equip the students of Kildare Catholic College with the skills to: generate dynamic ideas and solutions through innovative means, solve problems, communicate across a range of media and strive for excellence. At Kildare Catholic College we believe all students have the capacity for creativity. In TAS, making mistakes is an important part of the process. It is from these mistakes that students grow and develop more complex responses in their preferred discipline. TAS encourages students to think critically about all aspects of life developing a cultural literacy with the ability to respond appropriately.
